ANITA STOKES
Anita was 6 when her Mother who was a professional portrait photographer gave her a camera and started to teach her the art of photography. On leaving school Anita studied fashion design and became a milliner with a top London couturier. Later in her working life she took a keen interest silversmithing before finally returning to photography. Anita had her own darkroom where she used to process and develop all her own black and white work before moving to digital in 2005. Monochrome has always been her love, helping her to produce simple, graphic images that will stand the passage of time. Apart from her black and white landscapes she also has a keen interest in wildlife.
